Apple has released a revised version of iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 beta 4 for iPhone and iPad. This is the second revision to an iOS 26 developer beta version, following a small revision to iOS 26 beta 1 for some iPhones.
iOS 26 developer beta 4 (revised version)
Apple describes the upcoming iPhone software update by saying that iOS 26 “delivers a stunning new design, powerful Apple Intelligence capabilities, new ways to stay connected in the Phone and Messages apps, and exciting updates to CarPlay, Apple Music, Maps, and Wallet.”
In iOS 26 beta 2, we saw design tweaks including legibility improvements for Control Center, better menu organization in Safari, and stronger accessibility options with borders added to High Contrast Mode.
iOS 26 beta 3 most notably added opaqueness to some of the more transparent tab bars alongside new wallpaper colors. That changed back this week with iOS 26 beta 4 … version 1.
The build version change goes from 23A5297i to 23A5297m. The new build arrives alongside the first iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 public beta releases.
We’ll update our devices and let you know if anything notable has changed. The new build likely addresses some under-the-radar bugs.
